The foundation of this series is Biofibre® Silva, a cutting-edge bioplastic compound that redefines sustainable manufacturing. This material consists of a biopolymer matrix reinforced with natural wood fibers and is certified for defined biodegradability or compostability properties, helping to significantly reduce long-term environmental waste.
Choosing Biofibre® Silva is a commitment to a greener planet. By utilizing renewable biomass instead of petroleum, our sharpeners can contribute to a reduced fossil-resource footprint compared with conventional fossil-based plastics, depending on the assessment method and application.
Biofibre
A BLEND OF BIO-PLASTIC AND WOOD THAT IS FULLY BIODEGRADABLE
Biofibre is a plant based material where slight color deviations cannot be avoided.
The Biofibre series is made from the biodegradable and 97% bio-based bioplastic Biofibre® Silva. Renewable raw materials are used (no fossil raw materials). As a result, the product has a better C02 balance than a classic plastic made from fossil raw materials. It is also Certified by DIN CERTCO.
